Out of only three standalone stores of the famous UK-based fashion brand Hunter, one is now part of the Nordstrom anchored wing at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Apart from the brand’s well known rubber wellington boots, Canadians will be able to purchase many interesting products from the latest collections – among them a special edition backpack dedicated to the Canada’s 150th birthday.
Company Hunter Boot Ltd. originally started it’s business by manufacturing rubber tires, conveyor belts, combs, golf balls, hot water bottles and rubber flooring. It was established as North British Rubber Company in 1856 and it is headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland with offices in London, New York and Düsseldorf, Germany.
Hunter’s in-house interior design team, led by Creative Director Alasdhair Willis did a great job in designing unique 2,800 square foot space – store is imagined as a contemporary barn concept surrounded by the Scottish Highlands ilustrated via beautifully made background. Upon entry, you will have the sense that the sky is surrounding you which gives a special kind of space feeling.
As the seasons change, the same way backdrops of the store will change as well. Design team used the material of a rubber from the Original green boot to make floor rubber strips, you will love it!
The Yorkdale store at the moment features Hunter’s fall/winter 2017 collections for men, women and children, including Hunter Original footwear, outerwear and accessories collections alongside the Hunter Field technical collection. You will specially love a limited-edition backpack in red and white adorned with a red maple leaf - Toronto Limited Edition Original Top Clip Backpack has been crafted from rubberised leather and it will be exclusive to the Yorkdale location. Also, as we said already, this precious little piece is made to honour Canada’s 150th birthday.
It is expected the brand to open a Hunter Boots flagship store in Vancouver soon and as always, the assumption is that the most sold product might be their famous recognizable product, the Green Welly boot.
