Today, Saturday 14th, 2023, at 7:30 am, I visited the store in New Westminster to buy chicken $ 12.00, Premier protein for $ 22.00, bread $ 6.00, tea $ 14.00, cereal $ 8.00. When I was self-checking, one item didn't scan and show the screen to me. An employee between 50 and 60 years old thought I was trying to cheat the system. No, I will never do that because I pay for what I buy and live my life ethically and with much respect for everything.

I went early so I could get in and out quickly. I spent about 8 minutes getting mostly frozen foods and went to the checkout. I found only 2 checkers working with 7 people all with full carts waiting to get out. In the self checkout was 3 employees and telling us to use the self checkout was another 2. Why can't one of these simply open another till? Why do I have to learn another job? If I wanted to be a checker I would apply for the job.

Poor and horrible customer service, food is not handled safely. Most of the food items are moldy but staff doesn’t care when told. Return anything is another level of torture as they will accuse you of stealing or lying
