(2/5) Disappointed!
By Lana Barnes on Jun 20, 2018
Usually I shop at South End super center. I stopped here yesterday for convenience. The service I got in automotive wasn't a huge deal, the man I spoke to may have not been having a good day or hated his job and showed it. It wouldn't prompt me to write a review. He couldn't answer my question, which is fine. Because it is a question on common vehicle maintenance, I thought maybe someone else who worked there would know. At electronics, I was treated horribly! As someone who works in customer service I know how important it is to leave your problems and opinions at home, and to treat people how you would like to be treated. It is so important! It was a male in his mid twenties, tall, and a woman in her mid to late 40's to early 50's, who was blonde with lots of make up. They were in their own little world, like two high school kids. When I asked them my question they looked at each other and smirked, and spoke condescendingly to me as if I were stupid! I asked them if they happened to know how to tell the color of the coolant inside of the jug, because the man in automotive did not know how, but let me know to get the same color that was already in my car. The man told me all coolant is green, because of the antifreeze they put in it. Which makes sense, but coolant can also be orange, yellow, and blue. When I told them this, the man said "No, it's always green". I waited for a moment because I thought maybe he would say something else, but he stared at me and then said, "Is that all?" I said "I guess so, thanks." He said "sure" and then the two made faces at each other again. That was what got me, was that they would make me feel embarrassed to ask a question, and instead of talking about how dumb I was behind my back when I was gone, they would do it right in front me. This is something I would never do to my clients. Maybe it isn't a big deal, worse has happened. But I left that store not having any answers or knowing what to buy, and feeling dumb and a little embarrassed. I wouldn't have cared as much if I didn't get answers, It was the way I was treated, it was not what they said, but how they said it, and the faces they made at each other. If you don't like people or dealing with them, don't work a job in customer service! Sometimes you have to answer what you believe to be a stupid question!
