Yesterday September 19th 2020 As usual did my grocery shopping... normally a very pleasant experience at your store. Yesterday however was not the case. Now that you only have one side for customers to bag their own groceries ( which I totally agree with in these times) I proceeded to place my items on the belt and the cashier was starting to ring them through before the gentleman before me was not near finished bagging his groceries. I asked the cashier politely not to start ringing my items through till the gentleman was finished ( i could already see attitude on her face because of my request). In other stores this is how it is handled till the customer ahead is not finished they do not start ringing through the next customer. She waited, then I had two large flats of Gatorade on my buggy and she had to come around to scan them ( again attitude in body language and facial expression). I then started bagging my groceries , she finished ringing through my items and I heard her say the total of my bill , I kept bagging my groceries , so I would finish and then pay and be out of the way for the next customer (which what should be done in these times) she said the total again , thinking i did not hear her , I glanced up as I was almost finished and nodded. The cashier must have looked at the next customer and rolled her eyes or said something. Because I then heard the next customer say , "you need to pay before finishing bagging". I did not look up , kept my calmness and finished bagging (which by the way took only a couple of minutes (which should not matter how long it takes , as elderly people may take longer and again in these times and distancing etc ) . After finishing my packing and paying and was walking away ... I heard the cashier apologize to the next customer ! WHAT FOR ????? I if I'd paid before finishing bagging I still would have to finish bagging after paying !! I kept my calmness. Please train your cashiers to handle customers in the correct manner !
