Was so impressed with the very knowledgeable Crystal in the fish department as she educated me on the different fish that would be suitable for my tank. Also. To Hanna who helped solve a defective light issue on a new tank we purchased. Both gals/ladies need a big shoutout.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. EXTREME RACISM! BEWARE! These people have zero respect for customers and are extremely disgusting and racist. Never go Here! These people will keep you on the adoption process for 3 hours and read out their little cat adoption form slowly one by one as if we can't read or understand English. They treated us like we were incapable of even holding a pen and a clip board, and no matter how polite we were or explained to them we had to go, (we had groceries and a doctor's appointment coming up, WE WERE THERE FOR HOURS!!) they said they would hurry it up but they went to help other customers and went to the cash register. It's not my problem that these people are going through their first time with a cat adoption. They should be properly trained and know people are waiting and are taking hours of time out of their busy day to adopt an animal. This should not take hours. We can read the form and fill things out properly as we have cats already, but no, these people will give you strange looks when you gaze around the store as if you're going to steal something and they said we were raising red flags and that they had cancelled the adoption because we were in a hurry. How fucking rude. What red flags? We had to go to a doctor's appointment. We had food in the car. We have chores and cleaning at home. We don't have all the time out of our day to stand for 3 hours and be read a form when other cat adoption centers give you the paper to read on your own for fast and efficient process. They lied and said they needed a signature but the signature was already there. They cancelled it anyways. This is a classic issue of racism no matter how polite and patient we were, but people reach a breaking point. It's because we are middle eastern (you can tell) and Muslim. I called the store and the supervisor hung up on my face. I called the manager right after and explained to them everything. I was told we had a signature and the form was actually complete which proved my point we were lied to and forced to wait there. These people who are tattooed with ridiculous haircuts and attitudes beyond the level of rude did not like our religious attire and appearance as if we are going to harm the cat. The employees, Melissa and Brianna are racists, lack customer service, rude, and are liars. I would never recommend this store if you want to adopt an animal. I will write reviews about how Petland doesn't properly train their employees on adoption processes and their racism. I'll also be contacting their upper management to get my point across. These employees deserve to be fired.
