Terrible experience at Mr. Pets Tillicum Mall store. First the assistant tried to talk us out of the x-large hamster cage (for our daughter's birthday, suggesting we get a plastic tub from Walmart and make one. Then someone else recommended a huge rat cage and buying chicken wire for the too-large bars. So we did that. But it was too big for our tiny home, so we took it back within the hour, and they would not return it. Because of COVID. Except that the girl had said we could exchange "No problem!" when we bought it. So we had to keep the ENORMOUS cage (in our tiny living room) for 10 weeks. Yep, 10 weeks. Even though it could be wiped down in under two mins. No exception made for the fact that it was our daughter's birthday, and we couldn't afford a second cage (the cage was $130), let alone our tiny home. We had to borrow funds from friends to buy the original cage for our daughter's birthday (the one we came in for originally). There were no apologies, no return calls when we called the manager, and the owner. It was appallingly mis-managed. We will not shop there again.
