Staff | by Harley on Dec 07, 2021
Staff are beyond awful, not a single response when I said hi how are you, or have a good day. Complete robots. Wouldn't even answer my questions.
Perturbed | by Richard on May 04, 2021
I bought a Columbia rain jacket that leaked after one season, boots that wore out in three months, a vest that the zipper broke after one season and other poor quality things. Merchandise is inferior at all Mark’s. I can proudly say,I own several things twenty five to thirty years old that, are still comfortably worn without showing age from other retailers!!!
Return/exchange | by Linda McLachlan on Apr 30, 2021
Prince Albert store Nothing but a good review. I ordered on line and ordered the wrong length and jeans with buttons-ugh. The ladies in the store were more than pleasant and helpful and I walked out with exactly what I wanted for my 85 year old husband. Thank you.
30 days for refund | by Doug McGilloway on Apr 27, 2021

Strathroy Mark's | by Nancy Thompson on Mar 12, 2021
There was no customer service of any kind when I was in the store today. I waited at the register for approximately ten minutes and did not see an employee to help me. Here's a thought! If there is only one employeein the store maybe they could check the register area once in a while. You lost a sale and maybe a future customer.
Bad quality goods/scam | by Vince on Mar 10, 2021

Whitby store | by Leanne Campbell on Feb 04, 2021
Looked online for a particular work glove and couldn’t find it. Fully aware store was on curb side pick up my husband went to the door and TRIED to ask the girl through the door to look at the picture of the gloves on his phone and see if they indeed do sell them. She wouldn’t even look just stood there yelling get away from the door ! Unbelievable we will never go there again!
Return cost | by Nancy on Jan 11, 2021
I bought, on line, two shirts for my husband. He has many from in the store, but due to Covid had to order on line, way too small. I just paid almost $30.00 dollars Canadian to ship these back to a Canadian store. WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.
Scammers | by Gary Harrington on Dec 29, 2020
I received a pullover sweater for Christmas that did not fit. On Dec.29 I went to Mark's to exchange, the sweater was on sale from aroun $60 to $34.88, but they were out of my size. I decided to e xchange for a pair of boots that were on sale for $99.98. I expected to pay the difference between $99.98 - $34.88 = $65.10 + tax of 15% ($9.77) = $74.87. To my surprize they only allowed me $18.00 for the sweater, therefore charged me a total of $94.28. This is the FIRST time I ever had a store make money on a return, I will NEVER buy from them again and plan to return the boots for full return.
Order online | by Diane on Dec 10, 2020
I will never order online again. I have emailed Marks and never got an answer. Phoned the store they said my order was in transit and should be here the next day. Well the next day has come and gone and when you phone the store now it rings once and goes to a busy signal So unprofessional I will never order anything from them again I think this is terrible service
Trina at the Gibsons Store | by Lewis Hanson on Nov 29, 2020
I have been shopping at Marks for years. Always found the staff at every store to be friendly and helpful. Yesterday during the Black Friday sale, Trina went above and beyond, when I enquired about a pair of boots that were on sale, they were unavailable. Trina took my telephone number and managed to track down a pair of the boots in my size in Prince George and arranged to have them sent to Gibsons. Excellent customers service, a person like this a a true asset to the Marks organization!
Reconsider | by Lisa on Nov 28, 2020
Stone Road Mall MWW, great new store, however, why only open the outside entrance making everyone wait in the elements, seniors especially. When you have a mall entrance, use it!!! Close the outside doors to keep control of numbers!!!
COVID violation | by Judy Rose on Nov 19, 2020
Shopped at marks in Yarmouth..Staff friendly and wearing masks..my concern is when at check out with both cashiers working I was only about 2 feet away from another customer..this is not acceptable
no distancing or masks worn by staff | by Brenda on Sep 02, 2020
I went into the Olds Alberta store, the table for hand sanitizing was empty, 3 of the 4 customers wore masks, the 3 staff members did not wear masks. They also did not stay 6 feet away from me. Why am I wearing a mask to protect them and they are not wearing a mask to protect me ? I am not going back.
Discrimination against service dog | by Elle on Aug 03, 2020
A male and female employee passive aggressively loudly repeatedly said “pets” should not be allowed in the store. My dog is a registered service dog with a service dog harness. I confronted the workers and they continued to try to intimidate me and lied about not saying anything and there were 2 other witnesses who said they heard the same thing. Shame on Mark’s fir hiring animals!
Excellent Customer Service | by Lori on Jun 09, 2020
Thank you to Jay for the excellent customer service I received.

Unacceptable shipping option | by Deanna West on Feb 14, 2019
I am unhappy with the shipping experience I have just had. I ordered my boots online so i would not have to make a trip into the Owen Sound location. My order arrived today while I was at work, the courier would not leave the parcel, now I have to go pick it up in town. This is so inconvenient for me plus the cost of gas to get the parcel. I will not be shopping online at Marks again.
rip off and no legitimate sales | by p brooks on Dec 25, 2018
misleading ads, sales are fake
winter coats | by Lynn Wallis on Dec 20, 2018
You put out a flier last Thursday for a winter coat sale and when I went to your stores you had very little stock of winter coats! Are you aware that it is not even winter yet?? I went to 3 different stores and found absolutely not even one in my size. I have shopped Marks for years but I am very disappointed in this sales tactic.
not happy | by D Lucas on Dec 19, 2018
waited at cash register for key holder who wouldn't /couldn't answer to page & radio call . Left items at the counter & went to polo park instead .
Dsicrimination unacceptable | by Jennifer Harvey on Dec 09, 2018
I cannot believe that in the second decade of the 21st century, you still allow your store employees to discriminate against customers of size! You had an in-store deal printed in your flyer: for three days only, a free 2-pack of "copper sole thermal socks" with purchase of over $50. Your cashier at the Lauzon Rd. Windsor store would not honour my flyer coupon because I am a plus size woman, even though I had over $80 of merchandise. She even told me, loudly enough to be heard from the back of the store and in front of at least 2 dozen customers, that I "should exercise some self control so I wouldn't be such a fat slob." Even if temporary excess weigh had not been the result of being confined to bed for 2 years following a serious car accident, that sort of treatment would be unacceptable. Yes, Marks has saved itself $20 by not honouring a coupon that was sent out to all homes in the neighbourhood. But it has lost thousands in future revenue from customers who will no longer shop at a store with so little regard for its customers...not to mention lack of basic human decency. In the age of social media, people talk to each other about their retail experiences. A lot. Choosing to discriminate against classes of customers can be a costly decision indeed.
Boots | by Noreen Vanderjeugd on Dec 09, 2018
I received my women's Jemma HD2 water resistant mid cut winter boots style # 410016528878 and I love them so very much. Feet were warm and toasty and so comfortable with only one pair of socks. Way to go Mark's.
Great Service | by Joe LO on Nov 25, 2018
Jordan who works at the Lakeshore Blvd and Leslie store in Toronto was patient with our inquires and tirelessly searched for the sizes of the work boots we have asked for as we were not sure which size would fit. The boots that we wanted to try were high up on different shelves and required the use of the longer ladder. Jordan moved the ladder from one location to another just to get us the boots of different sizes to try on. I do not know if her effort to tend to customers’ needs is just the standard of Mark’. Do imagine, moving a long ladder around the store full of shoppers just to satisfy a customer’s desire to find the best fitting size during the busy shopping peaks on Black Friday and remained cheerful through all that as if taking “a walk in the park”. Also, the pair of boots we bought were on sale not the expensive ones. If it is just a standard of Mark’s then it is the GOLD standard. I wish I could say the same thing about other retail stores.

Good And Bad | by David B on Jun 21, 2018
The store in Woodstock #576 is great. Super people and great selection . Your website www.marks-survey.com is pathetic. Ive tried numerous times to access and it will not allow. I refuse to call your 1-800 number and go thru the touchtone challenges ex for access in English push....I don't need $10 that bad

Excellent Service | by Gary Davis on Sep 24, 2017
I visited the store in Bridgewater Mall and was served by Cheryl in the jean department and received excellent service. I wish there were more people like her serving the public.
