The staff at this store walk around like it’s a prison. No one ever smiles, and just their demeanour says what kind of place it really is. The food is over priced and the last few times the produce was rotten by the next day! Hire some new staff, order actual fresh produce and maybe you will have returning customers!

I don't shop there often as the prices are ridiculous! It is close by to my work and so I popped in to grab a few things. The staff member who served me was very confused and definitely needs to be trained again . Also, there is one guy who does the carts there that was talking really loud as I was leaving, I could hear his whole conversation half way across the parking lot. Just alot of unprofessional behavior at this store. Metro is better!

Have shopped here on a number of occasions and found staff to be quite rude. Customers should never be treated as if they are an inconvenience. Sorry to interrupt your side conversations, but you are there to work not gossip!

Rude, inconsiderate staff, don't know if it was the manager who was the most rude but overall a bad place to shop. Mr. Smylie is nice though, just poor staff.

Have shopped at Independent Trenton for the last 6 years and I find the store clean, staff is helpful and courteous.

I was in Trenton independent store to purchase a turkey! 5-7 kg turkeys were $22 and marked with a red tag! 7-9 kg ones were $30 marked with a blue tag! I picked up a turkey that was 6.9kg but marked with a blue tag so I thought this was an error so questioned the staff but they said no that that was the price!! So where is the cut off in weights if they round up?? Would a 6.5 kg be classified as 7 kg as well?? Needed to say my one and only shopping trip to this store will be my last! I purchased my turkey elsewhere!!
