We purchased a patio set from the Bay and didn't realize their online store is now a third-party vendor, not the Bay. We had called a local Bay store before buying and asked if we could return it to the store if there were issues and they said yes. We received the item and saw it was poor quality and when we try to speak to the Bay about it, they send us to the vendor. Will never make major purchases from them again and warn others to stay away.

Its been a couple of years now but the experience is still unforgettable to me.This entire experience starts with a mystery shop for a brand named Moneysworth, where they told me to go into the rideau street store and take photographs of product displays and whole departments within the store. I was conducting the mystery shop in peace until the vary end where i was approached by security guard george and a manager of the hbc who questioned me on what i was doing in the store. I informed both the security guard and the manager that i was a mystery shopper hired by field agent canada for moneysworth for hbc even showing identification, George then told me that i was okay to finish my work and so i did and proceeded to leave the store.I then returned two weeks later where i had entered the store through the front rideau street entrance and proceeded to the chanel cologne sections where i then proceeded to ask for the price of the "chanel" cologne "platinum egoiste" and the cosmetician then went to the register and didnt return. Within a few seconds i was approached by my former coworker in security who then lied about me being tresspassed from the store by George a couple weeks ago. I agreed to leave the store and was on my way out the store when security guard jayden then acted like i was resisting leaving the store and proceeded to attempt to throw me to the ground. Him being to weak was unable to throw me to the ground and he then proceeded to push me out the store with physical contact and was yelling lies throughout the cosmetics section and the store front. I attempted to call the police but the security and ottawa police service collude heavily with each other and allowed the security guards to write up fake reports about me with zero interviews or investigations.
