Long story short: Delivery requires you to be there to accept delivery but they give you a delivery window from 8:30am - 7pm and they don't call you to tell you when they are on their way. So, in my case, I am having the items delivered to a rental property that isn't my primary address so I am expected to wait around on the sidewalk from 8:30am - 7:00pm to accept delivery. I ordered $1,000 worth of wood and other small items to build a deck. I paid to have it delivered to my rental property where I was building the deck (curbside) since I don't have a truck to transport the items. I asked for a time of day that it would be delivered since I don't live at the address and wanted to make sure I would be there for delivery. I was told that they couldn't give me a time, but if I called tomorrow at 8:30am on the day of delivery they could give me a time. I did that, and after a 1 hour long hold I was told that the truck driver had already left and they couldn't contact him, but it would be delivered between 10am and 2pm. I asked if they could give me a call when they are on their way, and they said the only way for that to happen is if it was put in the order notes that I required that. (I had told the original person who took my order that I didn't live at the drop off address and needed to know an exact time... you would think he would have put it in the notes for them to call me.) I was told not to worry since they would send me an email once it had been dropped off. I waited until 2pm, and it still hadn't been dropped off so I called back. The new person told me it would be dropped off anytime between 8:30am and 7pm, and that I had to be there for pickup otherwise they would just go to the next location. Since they don't call me when they are on their way, I have no option but to wait in a plastic chair outside my rental property from 2pm until 7pm in hopes that they come by, despite the fact that they might have already come and I will be waiting 5 hours in the heat for nothing.
