Went to store, my son bought some ice cream candy that was on sale for $1.99, but scanned for $2.79, when I showed the associate price, and asked her to give me for free as per Scanning code of practice, she said it's only if you have paid, but I said it's not like that, it's if price is scanning wrong. She said, every store has its own policies. But I added it's a Alberta wide thing, then she rudely said to me OK, TAKE IT. Again she added, every store has its own polices, I said Ok, charge me. She said NO, TAKE IT. I felt quite insulting as I just checked online it's a law in Alberta and Giant tiger is also a participant. Well felt like degrading n insulting. If things are law then embrace them nicely.
