Galeries de la Capitale with a surface area of almost 2 millions square feet is one of the largest shopping and amusement center in Eastern Canada located at 5401, boulevard de Galeries in Québec City. Galeries de la Capitale was built in 1981 thanks to idea of local and prosperous businessman Marcel Adams and was recently renovated in 2014. With 10 million shoppers annually, the mall is the most visited mall in Quebec City. The centre is owned and managed by Oxford Properties Group since June 2013.
The two-level centre is home to 280 stores, services and 20 restaurants. Its major tenants include Simons, Toys'R'Us, Hudson's Bay and Best Buy. Galeries de la Capitale features stores such as Renaud-Bray, Sears, Sports Experts/Atmosphere, Rona, Future Shop, Forever 21, HM,Joshua Perets, Gap, La Senza, Marie Claire, Archambault, Home Outfitters, Golf Town, Bouclair, SAQ, DeSerres, Pier 1Imports, Dans u Jardin, Yves Rocher, Souris Mini, and many more. The brand new food court has lots of dining options to choose from and offers 550 seats. You can choose from restaurants like L’Académie, Le Paillard, Subway, Mucho Burrito, Tim Hortons, Sushi Shop, Les 3 Brasseurs just to name few. All year long, the mall offers activities to all the family. The property is home to the only IMAX large screen theatre in the region and houses the Méga Parc, the 2nd largest indoor amusement park in North America. Méga Parc is open 363 days a year and offers 17 attractions, a rollercoaster and a ice skating rink.
