I bought Banff Trial Boots #banfftrial from store located at the globo store located at 9650 Boul. Leduc, Brossard, J4Y0A5, I got them because they claimed to be waterproof, I used them couple of time and they were not waterproof, I returned them to the store where I bought them to exchange them for a different model or get my refund, not because I change my mind about the boots, but because they are not waterproof as they claimed to be, I had the original box and my receipt with me, a lady by the name of Alyssa told me to look around to check if I would like to change them with a different model and so I did, I didn't find something I liked so I went back to the employee there and informed them that I would like to get a refund, Alyssa told me she can only give me my money back in form of a gift card, I told her that I would like to get a refund in the same method originally used to pay for the boots and explained that I m not changing my mind, but I m not happy with the quality of the product as it doesn't deliver on its promises, she called the store manager or the manager on duty, the manager Julie Sicotte told me again that it's a Golobo's policy and that it's on the receipt to issue the refund in a gift card, I asked her to double check the receipt, she started reading it for me and there was no mention of getting a refund back as gift card, when I told her so, she said that she was doing me a favor by giving me the refund! She said my two options where to take the gift card or get another boot, else I would just keep the boots I wasn't happy with, so she basically forced me to do something I m not convinced with! I asked for another boots of the same model as I didn't want the gift card, Alyssa did the exchange, she brought a gift card, she scanned it when she was doing the return and she told me she made a mistake by scanning the gift card, and she scanned the other boot so the transaction goes out from the gift card and and guess what, if the transaction goes out from the gift card I can only get money back on the gift card, I asked why she did it that way and she said it was a mistake, I asked her to fix the receipt so it doesn't show a transaction from the gift card and she called "Julie" again, Julie Sicotte came for the second time and told me it's Globo's policy to do exchange this way, I was discussed with my experience today, I told Julie that I m not happy with my resolution and that I will be writing reviews online about my experience and submit a complaint, she didn't care, but she asked me if it was a threat lol. where is customer service? is this customer satisfaction? is this how you build your customer loyalty ?
