Devonshire Mall has over 1 million square feet in retail space and is the sixth largest shopping mall in Ontario and the nineteenth largest mall in Canada. It is the largest mall between Detroit, Michigan and London, Ontario. The mall is currently owned and operated by the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, or HOOPP, which was sold by previous owner and property manager Ivanhoé Cambridge for a transaction price tag of $240 million. The mall was officially opened on August 12, 1970. The mall originally had just 70 stores, but has had five expansions: in 1974, 1985, 1987, 1995, and 2000. The Art Gallery of Windsor was temporarily located in the mall from 1993 to 2001.
Devonshire Mall - Windsor's largest shopping center - has over 200 tenants and is anchored by The Bay, Chapters, Cineplex Odeon, GoodLife Fitness, H & M, Old Navy, Sears, Urban Behavior and Zellers. You can find here stores such as Addition Elle, American Eagle Outfitters, Bell Canada, Bluenotes, Boathouse, Cotton Ginny, EB Games, Fairweather, Foot Locker, GAP, Garage, Guess, HMV, Jacob, Jean Machine, La Senza, Roots, RW & Company, Shoppers Drug Mart, Smart Set, Sony Style, Teaopia, The Source, and Urban Behavior among others. Trendy fashion brand Forever 21 will be opening a store called F21Red at Devonshire Mall in fall 2015. F21 Red is a new concept store from Forever 21. The store will carry merchandise from their Forever 21, Forever 21 Men, Forever 21 Plus and Forever 21 Girls, at “entry-level category price points”. Stores such as Target, Papyrus and Access, a bag store has closed their doors during the year 2015.
The mall features a food court and three restaurants: Moxie’s Classic Grill, Buffalo Wild Wings and Tim Horton’s. The food court includes: A&W, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Manchu Wok, KFC, Koya Japan just to name few.
