Part 1/5 I recently had the pleasure of visiting a shoe store (PASiTO) with exceptional customer service, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. From the moment I stepped inside the store, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my entire visit.

I purchased a pair of Timberlands from this store which are clearly counterfeits. The soles are the wrong colour, with a brown logo rather than a yellow one. The laces are plain brown rather than the classic yellow-red blend included with true Timberlands. They are made from cheap materials and started to break down after one day of light wear inside my own apartment.

My boots fell apart in two weeks after buying them. I mean they physically fell apart and they weren’t waterproof even though I was promised they were. I wasn’t worried because I was told I could return them- which I’ve tried to do TWICE. Both times they said that the manager wasn’t there and no one can do a return except him. This time the man who is always there and clearly has some part in the ownership of the business smiled at me and said I should come back when the manager is there & then added that they don’t do returns. He seemed to delight in my frustration. The only reason I told a chance on this store was because of the return policy. $150 for boots that lasted two weeks. These people are thieves & they don’t care at all about your complaints or frustration because they clearly hear it all the time.

Stopped to look at boots tonight (Saturday) only to be assaulted by unadulterated rap with every imaginable obscene and offensive word possible. Word to the wise. Just because you are trying to be hip doesn't mean you get to be offensive. So as a black woman to the white staff of this store: no. Absolutely not.
