Perm | by Cathy on May 18, 2021
I don't live anywhere near Cloverdale, but will make the trip to Fl’Hair to see Grace whenever I need my hair permed. I tried other places, closer, and the perms just fell out next day. She knows what I like and need to be a satisfied customer. Cannot wait for Covid lockdowns to be over. I hope Grace will still be working —. Cannot wait to see you!

From Bad to Worse | by Denise on Nov 19, 2019
I dropped into this salon while shopping at Cloverdale. My hair was growing too long and endy from a previous style, and I had tried to trim bits here and there, including my bangs. I asked the female stylist for a cut that would grow out more gracefully (i.e. didn't look like rat tails or as if I took the scissors and hacked it). I wanted a style that I could use hair clips temporarily when it started to grow out. I don't have the income to get my hair cut every couple of months. I found the cut to be uneven (hair in the front on my right side was longer than the left and poorly shaped compared to the left). She told me she had to layer my bangs because of the way I cut them, but when I went home there were uneven strands everywhere, and the ends looked terrible; in fact, worse that before I got it cut. Her visual spatial/perceptual skills were definitely not the greatest. She was friendly, but tended to ask intrusive questions.
Terrible way to speak about a child | by Sarah on Mar 31, 2017
We've taken the kids to have their hair cut here a few times and always had a great experience with the ladies. Unfortunately, on our last visit we ended up with the man (I believe he's the owner) and needless to say we will NEVER EVER EVER return to this salon. He felt it necessary to tell me and my son that he'd make him "look like a boy" and also questioned where the dad was and why he was allowing my son to have longer hair. I was appalled that he felt he had any right to comment on my son's hair or his choices for his style of hair. Who in this day and age thinks it ok to make comment on what boys and girls should look like? Disgusting!
