Training complaint | by Allana Casio on Aug 18, 2017
After a steady process along with Denzel, a member of the crew was informing me of how to till and jot down orders in a respective manner. No matter how hard it was training as a co member before getting hired I felt discouraged, not because I was scared but of training runners who were on duty were willing and fully dedicated to helping me, but which did not do me any good. Was to not go over my till to give the order where I was entering still and the process of billing was not done, a cup of coffee was given even before I had handed the requested drink receipt and mentioned his/her number to the buyer. It was wrong in many ways, the runners are still on duty they aren't the ones doing the till doing cash register instead after they got the drink TO Be (ready) and serve it on their left-hand side where the orders are called out. Displeasure is what i felt after not getting the job because I was in for training to prove I can be relied on by members who have been workers on the till memorizing prices and the placement ,of food and what in grilled on top. For 9 hour at the front instead they did not follow what the orientation paper had written under responsible's for a store runner as efficient and steady. The manager, Samona, then thought I was very slow, I might have been but the orientation paper I had signed a week or two before the training says that an operator handles a till per guest for no more than 3 minutes which I was doing fine, my time limit was 1 minute most. I dont see how I didn't get the job where I did learn my mistakes for my own after the help was given on that three day long trainings. Thanks to the crew members who helped me with the orders and what to punch in, next time just do not make a person exploring the till feel guilty because you need to stay on track which is to serve on the left hand side, doesnt matter how slow the orders are, another person better with orders to punch on till can handle the opposite till to allow a person to get a hold of order taking.
