On Thursday, February 9, of this year my husband and I went to the Family Leather store in the Cedarbrae Mall to buy a handbag. I was having trouble choosing the preferred bag and was consulted by the store owner, who assured me that if I did not like the bag, I was more than free to come back and return it for a full refund. This is what ended up happening - I didn't find the purchase to be what I wanted and came back to return it the next day (Friday, Feb 10). Upon coming back to the store (2nd time), I came up to the cashier lady that was working there and asked to return my hand bag. The lady told me that she couldn't accept the return and after I told her what I was assured of by the owner the previous time, the lady contacted and spoke to the store owner by telephone, after which she confirmed her inability to accept the return and told me to come that Sunday and that the owner will personally take my returned handbag for a full refund. I came back that Sunday (Feb 12) and went to see the store owner about the return however when I tried to return the purchase like I was promised, the owner suddenly started denying everything. Not only that but when I reminded her about everything I was told previously, she simply flat out got into a confronting pose and said "No refunds" and when I told her about what I was promised and said that this is fraud and she had tricked me, she said that I had no evidence to prove anything! In other words, she is a sleazy store owner that tricked me into making a purchase I didn't want.
