This is an exceptional store. So lucky to have the bay in our community. Staff are always helpful and friendly and great selection.

HBC has a wide selection of goods available. They've name brands, their own label and more. Kitchen goods, bedroom and all the rest; even the garage and shed. But the one commonality (actually, more than one)is price. Even with their various sales promotions, they are still bordering on unaffordable. "The BAY? No thanks; you can go shopping without me. They are way too expensive for the things we want or items we could update. Doesn't matter. But that's just me." Not verbatim, but this pretty much covers the gist of that actual over-the-phone conversation I overheard. And I can't disagree. We bought knives (Zwilling Henckels) at really good prices. HBC kind of overlooked including these were saleable but had at least one deficiency in each knife. Rough finish, poor machining (out of round) and sharp edges where you do not want them; the top edge, not the cutting side. That was very disappointing. We returned them and ordered "A" stock; perfectly finished. They were high priced but we bought them on-line with home delivery because of the convenience. Closest HBC is about 80+ kms away, round trip. Was a lot closer until recently. Oh well. They (retailers) always follow the money.
