Sears has been declining over the past few years due to inferior cheap clothing and over-priced merchandise. The to add to this the stores seemed to overstock, especially at Christmas then have massive markdown sales, no doubt contributing to loss of income But God forbid that that loss of income be rectified by (as) re-assessing the quality of the stock and over-buying plus over pricing items then selling before and after Christmas just to "dump" your stock. the buyers, the CEO's and shareholders are at fault. You should have the store with the basic brands it carried for years and years. Not everyone likes to shop in small speciality shops. The store was badly mis-managed over the past few years as noted in my above comments. We have lost an icon - a store where one could do almost one stop shopping. Shame again on the shareholders and management. Well I am sure all the people at the top will find jobs or enjoy their buy out packages, The sales clerks are the losers in all of this as well as the average customer who can afford higher speciality shops.
