Atrocious customer service. Ask the customer to return items and are not able to apologize for the hassle they play a part in. Never shop here if you want customer care.

After my recent visit to PetsMart, the grooming associate cut my dog's nails so short that they began to bleed, while some of his other nails remained long? When I went to pick up my dog, they never mentioned anything had happened but I noticed the blood in his paws myself. I spoke with a manager who directed me to the supervisor of the grooming salon. This manager's behaviour was extremely unacceptable, she laughed as if it was nothing. I was very upset by this reaction, and asked her why she found this to be funny to hurt an animal who cannot express themselves? The store manager also did not do anything to rectify the situation, he left quietly after telling me to book with the supervisor of the salon directly in the future. I was not treated with courtesy or respect during what was a very uncomfortable experience, and will not return to this location ever again.

I took my dog to be groomed and was not at all satisfied with the results. When I went to pick her up from the store, only 3 legs were groomed,her breathing was very labored so much so that I had to take her right to my veterinary clinic. On the way there I called back the grooming salon and was told that I had brought her in that way. I would never have done that and your staff if that was the case should never have attempted a groom, I should have been called back to pick her up or she should have been taken to a veterinarian. I waited a week and never received a call so went back to the store/grooming salon and was told the same thing, I brought her in that way. I ask to speak to the manager who was not in that day but spoke to the assistant manager and manager of another department who proceeded to tell me that my dog was a senior dog and that they knew because of the color of her hair. I could not believe my ears, she is a salt and pepper colored miniature schnauzer she has been that color since the day she was born. I got no satisfaction except the assistant manager agreed with what I was saying regarding the incident. Pet Smart's version did not add up. It has been now 2 week and I have never received a call asking me how the dog is as we almost lost her, she had to be sedated, put on oxygen, put to sleep and a tube down her throat and an Xray. The only thing that was seen was that the cords in her neck were all swollen causing her not to be able to get her breath. She was then put on steroids to reduce the swelling. Accidents happen that I agree but the treatment that I received as a customer regarding this incident leaves speechless. Not only did it cost me the grooming which was not completed but it also cost me $600.00 for the visit to the vet. You would think that Pet Smart would have had the decency to check up on my dog and get to the bottom of what actually happened. They say that word of mouth goes far, I will not recommend the Company to any of the people I speak with in future.
