On Friday December 18, 2020 I visited the Canada Post outlet of the Rexall Pharmacy (store 414) at Elmvale Acres, Ottawa, ON. The representative at that outlet was most rude, ignorant, and inconsiderate. She should be fired. This is why: On arrival I said, "Hi, how are you?" to the agent at the desk. Without even looking at me, she answered very gruffly, "Closed". It was exactly 7:55p.m. I indicated that their website indicates that this Post Office outlet closes at 9:00 p.m. I had verified their hours before making the trip to that Rexall store. Without even looking at me, she answered, "Well, I close at 8" By then it was only 7:58, but she kept moving boxes around and would not look at me. I asked her if she knew of another outlet nearby that would still be open. Her answer was, "I have no idea." She then turned away and walked into the back room, abandoning the service desk, as I stood there. In the time she took to mistreat a customer, she could have provided the required service and still close her station at 8pm - even though the website does show 9 pm as their closing time. This person should NOT be trusted to serve the public on behalf of Canada Post or anyone else. NOTE: The Alta Vista Post Office outlet (in Shoppers Drug Mart, on Alta Vista Drive near Industrial Rd) also showed 9pm as closing time. I headed out there, arriving at 8:30pm. The representative there was wonderful, provided service with a smile, efficiently. THAT was a great experience.
