Eggsmart - Mississauga, Ontario L4W 4C3 (Tomken Plaza)

When the store opened at the Plaza we decided to give it a try. I must admit that every eggsmart place we went to was a disappointment but the new place looks promising so we gave it one more try. The place is small and very busy. We sat at 1045 am on a Sunday. We waited patiently to be served. Eventually someone came and ask what we wanted to drink. She came back with our drinks and instead of taking our order like most normal procedure she disappeared and did not see her again after half an hour. We waited patiently for her to return. When she finally did and took our order, we waited for our food to arrive for another half hour. The service was so slow that we almost walked out. I do not know what was taking so long to cook eggs. Our order is very basic. I had pancakes and by the way was crispy as the edges was burnt and one of the pancakes underneath was so thin on one side it was falling apart ( smart to hide it underneath the file). My son had specifically asked for crispy bacon but apparently they don't care that you prefer your bacon crispy you will get whatever they have in the kitchen. Consequently, the bacon my son got was so soggy and still pale. It was disgusting and was push aside on the plate and not eaten. It is another 15 minutes to wait for the bill. At this time it is already 1215 and we could not believed that it took 1.5 hours just to have breakfast. This is breakfast people not dinner! The server is nice and the only reason my son gave her a descent tip was because he knew how it is to work hard for your tip. I wouldn't have been so forgiving. Granted that it is not their fault i agree but it is a reflection of the management. This was the worst eggsmart restaurant we have been so far. At least with the others, we did not have to spend 1.5 hours just to eat breakfast. I suggest if you want customers to return to your establishment is get your act together and hire more cooks and oh listen to your paying customers!! Don't just serve them what you think they like.
