On 2016 July 1st, between about 3:00 to 3:20 p.m., I visited a store called Empress Avenue in pacific mall (unit B10, 4300 Steeles ave east,) I walked into the corner next to the cashier to look at some scarves. The store owner stood just a foot away from me,her back facing me. At that time, I was boxed and must ask the owner to step aside for me to leave the corner. I asked "excuse me", she did not respond. Then I asked again,she twisted her back a little to allow me just enough space to walk past her. As I walked past her,her back remained facing me, and i expected some eye contact and a word from the owner to say sorry. She did not.Then I moved a few feet away to look at some rings.While I was looking at the rings, the owner was only a foot away from me, looking at me trying the rings right behind the table. She said nothing about the products,her face Looked cold. At that point I felt afraid to even look at her, I felt like I was being supervised. Among the rings,p are more than 10 signs saying 'you break it, you buy it', stealing will be procecuted'. I felt very uncomfortable.After I tried the rings, the owner started to adjust the rings, and touched almost every ring to make sure they were put properly. Her body language sent me a message as a customer that I shouldn't touch the rings. This is the third time I visited this store and found the owner very impolite. So I asked her ' do you hate working here?Or you don't like the customers'. Her immediate response 'why are you asking me that? Who are you?' I explained that I felt mistreated and disrespected'. She became very defensive and said,' I can wear whatever face I want in my store, this is my store, just leave.' I said'even it is your store, you can't treat people like that.' She said 'what are you doing here? Who are you? Just fxxking leave'. I was hurt and asked ' how can you swear at your customer?' She then called security.She kept shaking her head and ordered me to leave, 'fxxking leave'. The security advised me to report to Better Business Bureau. And I did.
