A week ago I purchased quite a lot of clothes at Zara, Markville Mall Shopping Centre. When the cashier gave me my bags, I asked what about the shoes I gave you. At that time he was arguing with another cashier (so unprofessional) and said "oh I forgot that". He turned, picked up the shoes and put them through. I never though of checking it if he had given me the right shoes - I had given him 2 pairs as one had the tag and the other didn't so that the cashier didn't have to look for it! Last week Friday, I grabbed the shoes and noticed that they were the wrong size! An easy mistake, I thought, since I needed the size 9 US and he gave me 39EU size! On Sunday, went to the store told their manager what happened and asked for an exchange of size! The manager advised that their cash systems do not allow any exchanges without receipts and so will not be able to grant me one! I even showed him the bank statement showing the two transactions! He proceeded by giving them their customer service which I did today and received the same answer! Both said nothing else, except repeat their policy every time I spoke! Very unnerving - the manager at Markville just kept on staring at me repeating the exact same thing over and over! I'm very much aware of their return and exchange policy however this was an unusual case and surely could have been looked at differently! Their staff makes a mistake and I the consumer, am being penalized for it! Absolutely disappointed! They have finally proved to be unprofessional, uncaring and unreliable! No respect for their customers and no willingness to take responsibility for their actions! They have definitely lost me and my entire family as customers!
