Bought a hat last year for my husband for Christmas. It didn’t fit him so I kept it in perfect condition and with the receipt to be exchanged. We live over an hour away and then Covid happened and we just didn’t have the chance to make it back there until recently. The girl working looked at the receipt, told my husband to go ahead and pick out a different hat and we were even going to buy two more since we were there but then she rudely called him back and said it was from too long ago and couldn’t be exchanged. When my husband tried to respond she cut him off and said “well this belongs to you “ and passed it back to him. She did it with a tone of voice that showed she was speaking down to him. We are very successful retail business owners ourselves and we’re appalled at the lack of customer service here, especially given what a messed up year it has been. There should be exceptions given that we also had a baby in the summer and didn’t want to travel to stores if we didn’t have to, as to lessen our exposure to other people to protect our newborn daughter. I’m disgusted and won’t be shopping here again unless the situation is rectified. I will be asking friends and family to boycott. Also, speak to your employees on how they interact with your customers, because they suck at what they do. This happened this morning.
