I went to Ennio's Monday night for a lovely dinner with my four sisters. One of my sisters requires a wheelchair. There are no handicapped parking spots close to Ennio's. In order to get her out of the car, we straddled the line thereby parking in two spots. We did this where there was broken glass on the right side of one spot, the side from which we were getting our handicapped sister out. We did this so that no one else would try to drive into that spot while we were getting our sister into her wheelchair. There is not a wheelchair ramp to get out of the parking lot to get to the crosswalk in at the corner by Ennio's so we had to wheel her all around the curbed area to the corner where there is a wheelchair ramp up to the sidewalk. When we went into the restaurant, the parking lot was fairly empty so we did not move the car to fit into one parking spot so the the car was no longer straddling a line. The parking lot was even more empty when we came out of the restaurant after dinner. When we returned to the car, someone had used a zip tie to attach a Food Basics shopping cart to the door handle of our car. The cart scratched the side door of the car. We had something to cut the zip tie and we returned the cart to Food Basics to inquire if there was parking lot security to whom we could speak regarding this shopping cart issue and the damage it caused. Apparently there is no parking lot security and no parking lot cameras to determine who committed this crime. Needless to say we were quite disgusted with the situation.
