Received poor customer service!! So called Manager does not know what is considered good customer service and how to talk to customers when a conflict arises. Tried to return a skateboard that was splitting after just literally several hours use. Didn't receive any consideration in which he would help us, only tried to lay blame on my son, basically insinuating he was lying about what he was doing on his board. The damage was clearly manufacturers defect but he insisted he could not do anything because the board was used, or in is words severely ridden (highly over stated) for a board that was less than 24 hours old. He spent more time criticizing us to other employees than he did to find us a resolve. Would not recommend anyone to this store especially for skateboards.

Just recently bought a Primitive skateboard yesterday and after 4 hours of use I noticed a layer of the tail separating from the rest. Its not possible that my use of the skateboard caused this, as I can barely do an ollie. Anyways, I brought it in for return (the day after I noticed the defect) and the manager said he couldnt take it back as it had been used. There are 3 or 4 minor scratches on the board from attempted boardslides. However, their policy states that a product can not be returned if it is used, EXCEPT if its a defect in the product. Aside from the fact that they sold me a defective board the manager was beyond disrespectful. I told the manager what had happened and he asked what I did to make this happen. I said nothing more than an ollie and 3 boardslides. He then said there is no way I only did ollies and boardslides for this to happen. In other words he called me a liar. After that, he said he would get on the phone with his district manager. He did, but made it sound like my board was highly used and used hard. Keep in mind there were only 3 or 4 scratches on it. After making it sound like my board was used by beavers, he came to me saying I would have to contact the Primitive Company. This is only so Zumiez could keep my 140$ while I struggle to find a solution to this. It seems Zumiez is only focused on profit than actually giving satisfaction to their customers. I dont recommend buying from Zumiez.
