It is with dismay that I relay what everyone already knows: The Metro store that has serviced this location (University Plaza, Dundas, Ontario) has closed its doors as of March 2, 2019. This store was one of only 2 stores to service the needs of thousands of citizens in this area. City Hall refused to budge, and we are relegated to one small store on Governor's Road in Dundas now. Unacceptable. Thousands, many senior citizens, watched as the only store that this area has known, along with many very appreciated store workers, closed for good. I guess we won't have to eat anymore. May the greed that drove this decision to its completion fizzle and die, just like the resources for fresh and healthy food did for us just a few days ago. May the zeal of City Hall members who pushed this through be an albatross around their necks, and may these same ones know what it is like to have to wonder how they will put fresh food on THEIR tables. You took away our food, you took away our longtime friends and associates. Way to go, boneheads.

I like the metro in university plaza clean store good selection and nice staff especially the woman in meat dept. Works Sunday afternoon very helpful and friendly also found a young girl in bakery make the cakes is always friendly that is why I shop at University plaza metro
