On one of the hottest days of the summer, individuals were lined up the length of the store - way too long for such heat. The line ups for the cashiers were also much too long. Why? Because there were only TWO cashiers on a Saturday afternoon. On several occasions it seems the number of people in the store is well below the maximum of 30. But the store consistently has only one or two cashiers. The lack of cashiers is what governs the line ups, not the need for social distancing. The LCBO needs to get more people on staff, especially on the weekend. Making people wait outside in the scorching heat is ridiculous. If the store had more cashiers, there would be greater volume of people exiting and more people allowed to enter. Is COVID19 just a convenient excuse for reducing staff costs?
