Wrong information on website | by Archana on Feb 10, 2022
I was looking for luggage bags and saw few items in stock and sale, I ordered two bags online, ND also spoke the customer care and the lady told me to come to the store for an early pick up. I reach there and they was told that they don't have anything in stock, I wasted my time just to hear that on website the items are showing 3 year old inventory. Pathetic service. Do no ever rely on their website and also what be they convey on phone It sucks
Medical Exemption Ignored | by Upset Canadian on Jun 19, 2021
Most stores have a common sense policy on allowing people with a medical condition to enter a store without a mask. Even the health authorities allow for this. Not Canadian Tire (at least at Trinity Commons Mall in Brampton). No mask, no entrance. Discrimination against Canadians with medical conditions. Whatever Canadian Tire sells, I can buy elsewhere.

Baking Sheets...store error or HEIST? | by William Cruise on Feb 09, 2020
In December 2019, I purchased 2 Redskill baking sheets. (The cost was $3.98 plus 0.52 tax, a total of $4.50), as well as some other items. My total purchase was $346.15. I didn't notice that the 2 baking sheets were not put into my bags. So, the next day I returned to the store to retrieve my baking sheets that the cashier failed to pack. After waiting 40 minutes in the product return isle, I explained to the clerk what had happened the day before. She told me that (are you ready for this?) because the items were not placed in the bags by the check-out clerk, they would have to go through the security video tapes to make sure that the check-out clerk failed to pack the 2 baking sheets. (in other words, make sure I didn't steal them). BUT, because that was during the Black Friday sale time, I would have to wait until the sale period was over because they were too busy during that time to review the video, which meant I would have to wait until AFTER the New Year to get my credit of $4.50! Now, $4.50 won't put food on my table, nor will it put very much gas in my car, but I have to wait until some time in January 2020 to receive my credit...ASSUMING I didn't actually steal the 2 baking sheets. But, the clerk did say that they would review the video and, if the "baking sheet heist" wasn't actually a heist at all, the store would contact me and I could "come back for my $4.50 credit". Here it is, February 9th, 2020, and they haven't contacted me. The good thing is, they haven't charged me with theft under $100 or anything like that. Now, as I've said, $4.50 is not going to put me in the poor-house, now it becomes the principal of this ordeal. I'm not going to let this just go away. I'd hate to see Canadian Tire file for bankruptcy because they were short $4.50 to pay one of their creditors. But, I would like an apology for their error, but I'm not holding my breath for one either.
Lack of knowledge concerning battery warranties | by Mary on May 13, 2019
I was returning a car battery less than a year old with a 3 year warranty. I had my original receipt but was told I needed an invoice in order to make the exchange on the warranty. This location would not complete the exchange. I drove 40 minutes to the Toronto store to be told the invoice system was brought in after I my purchase that's why I didn't have one. The staff here as far as I could determine just didn't want to be bothered completing the paper work for the warranty because I didn't buy it there. I will never shop at this location for anything.
an unpleasant place to shop | by david jones on Dec 15, 2018
We arrives at about 11 am on Sat. The store was not especially busy but we had to search to find toaster ovens because there was no sales associate around. We located the products and then were assailed by an associae who wanted to sign us up for some Triangle CC. She would not take NO! for an answer. This pestiferous manner might work with some people but we had a task to do and it was not made easy by the fact that one of the T-O was in a sealed box with no display model. This woman simply would not quit yammering about 12.5% savings!! After 4 negatives from us, she left. We then had to find a sales associate to open the box (because you have it prominently marked NOT to open the box.....I get that but then without a display model, how is one to take measurements?). While we were going through this process, we had to make way for several people who were trying to get by...some with carts which made things even tighter. WHY? ....your aisles are so close together that 2 people have trouble walking abreast. I get the reason that you crowd things (and this applies as well to the displays at the store front) but it does not make for a pleasant experience. Finally we got the associate to open the box. No sooner did he leave than another associate came streaming in admonishing us for opening the box. (funny how she was not available to help us initially....give her credit for doing her job but not for the way in which she did it). OK...now we have the boxed item and are walking to the cash and I turn around and my wife cannot be seen...WHY???...because she is blocked off by someone pushing a cart through your crowded display area at front. To make matters worse, we had to endure yet another associate pestering us for signing up for this Triangle card! Lord give me strength....it was such a relief to exit your store. At least the cashier was great.
