It has a total area of 71,371 sq. ft. and consists of a theatre-anchored community plaza and two freestanding buildings and has 18 stores and services. The plaza is owned and managed by Crombie REIT, a real estate investment trust that focuses on grocery-anchored properties across Canada. The plaza has a number of stores that offer various products and services, such as clothing, food, furniture, education, banking, and entertainment. Some of the major tenants are Cineplex Entertainment, Boston Pizza, Moores Clothing for Men, Penningtons, Pet Valu, and M&M Food Market. The plaza also has a DND Recruiting office and a Cape Breton University campus. The plaza has 351 parking spaces for customers and visitors. It is also accessible by public transport, as there are several bus stops nearby on Prince Street and George Street. The plaza is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, and from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday. The history of Prince Street Plaza is not very well documented, but it seems that it was built sometime in the late 20th century or early 21st century. The name of the plaza may be derived from the name of Prince Street, which was named for the Prince of Wales by Governor Macquarie in 1810. Prince Street was once a prestigious residential area in Sydney, but it was demolished in the 1920s to make way for the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The current site of the plaza may have been part of the land that was resumed by the government after an outbreak of the bubonic plague in 1901.
