I called the store on Wed.to find out if the had a particular brand and style of cookware on display. The set is very expensive and I have not intention of purchasing it until I can see and handle at least on piece in person. And now the journey begins! I got through and after finally getting to the selection to speak to Housewares I was directed to a phone that rang a few times and then directed to select 1 to try again. Been tenacious I continue to select one time and time again. I looked at the time factor at one point and it was just past the 10 minute mark. Did I give up? No. I was to the point where my enquiry was becoming a test on customer service. At the 20 minute mark there was still no answer. I was automatically disconnected. Having reached my destination in Dartmouth Crossing I decided to doing my shopping there and call when I returned to the car. Again the same result, but shorter because my patience level was being pressed to a break point. I had one more stop to make in Dartmouth Crossing and when I was finished I decided to try one more time. This time I selected option 2 after timing out in my housewares attempt. This selection allowed me to select another department or finally an option to press 0 to speak to the switchboard. I selected 0 just to speak to a person reminding myself to hold back my anger when they answered. Well guess what? The switchboard rang and rang. Finally when the ringing ceased the automated system told me it was going to direct me to the Manager on Duty. The phone rang again. No one answered. The computerized response on the Manager on Duty phone was a series of "If you are having trouble with a delivery call..." etc., etc. I left a message for the MOD to call me and expected to hear back by the end of the day, Well that didn't happen. I give up. Throughout my entire experience I was reminded how easy it is to order online and with a no hassle return policy. The only reason the Department store exists is there are customers who still want to talk to someone and see the the product. You did not make this possible. Do not try to downplay this review or rationalize this with, "He would have bought on-line anyway." I know how frustrated the staff are carrying the workload as the Company spirals into oblivion with their expense saving ideas. When it is all said and done remember, "It is not your fault!" Oh! I tried to write a review on The Bay's Mic Mac website, but couldn't unless I signed in. There wasn't even an option to become a member of that stupid idea.
