Customer shamed and embarrassed at the store entrance | by Myrna House on Aug 22, 2020
On Thursday night. I entered the store put on my mask which I am exempt for 2 medical reasons from by my doctor. While having difficulty breathing I had to put the mask just below my nose. I spoke to a very nice employee that was wearing a shield and she told me I could take it off and I don't have to explain my condition or show my note. Today Saturday I needed to pick up a few more things. When I went in I told the long grey hair man I had a doctors note. He said you got to wear a mask and just walked over to customer service. Then two more came over to me and the girl said very loudly are you waiting for a manager. I replied no. Then the guy next to her said the manager was called. People were staring at me like I did something wrong. Very embarrassed I turned and walked out the door as fast as I could. Dr Fitzgerald and Dr Hagie announced in the last briefing. That people with a doctor note with a medical condition, are exempt. They don't have to show their note and they dont have to explain to anyone. If the girl that was on Thursday night knew this and treated me with respect. Why did the three customer service people shame me and make a spectacle out of me. I won't be back.
