I read the article in the Daily Gleaner today concerning the slow sales and lack of customers shopping the mall. This is not surprising. My wife and I made our first trip to the mall a short time ago (wearing face masks) to pick up some items at Lawtons. We spent more time watching who was coming towards us, up behind us, passing us or standing beside us not wearing a mask than we did shopping. The staff were not even wearing masks. We left the store and went to Shoppers where all staff were wearing masks and almost all customers were. With Walmart mandating mask wearing next week, here is the chance to follow suit in the mall. We have chosen not to shop at the mall until masks are mandatory. We are retired and frequented the mall almost daily prior to the covid outbreak.
