I'm absolutely disgusted with the service I've received in the automotive department! I brought my car in to have some work done and specifically asked that the rear axel seals be replaced while they had it (something that my other mechanic had said needed doing). When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I noticed on the invoice that it wasn't mentioned. I asked the tech why it hadn't been done, to which I was told "we weren't sure that that's what the issue was and because women tend to be irrational when they're wrong we didn't replace it, but we shampooed the axel and you can bring it back in a couple weeks to have it checked". At which point I said that I already knew that's what the issue was and that's why I specifically asked to have them both replaced while they had the axel apart for other work. I was then told that "you'd likely be upset if we replaced them and that didn't fix the problem". My thinking as a customer, is that if I pay for a job that I've asked to be completed, and that's not what was needed, then that's my fault, and I take the loss on it, lesson learned at that point. However, I've now taken it back to have the axel checked again (which I was charged for again) to have them confirm that it is, in fact what I had told them the issue was in the first place, and they'd like to charge me labour to dismantle the axel yet again! When I brought this all up with the manager I was told "whatever" and he walked away.
