Went there to purchase some items on Black Friday, only to be told I could not use my gift cards and get the sale prices (everything was 30% off today). I ended up having to pay full price on the items. As per BC regulations, all gift cards are to be treated as cash. It is absolutely ridiculous and appalling that these cards were being treated as inferior to other methods of payment. The fact that these cards happen to be from Costco (I was gifted them so I didn't know they were) is irrelevant. This company gets the money up front when the cards are purchased, it should make no difference to them where the card was purchased from if it was an authorized seller. I was told that using these cards and getting a discount would be "double-dipping". Absolutely ridiculous. The manager was quite rude when she talked to both me and my husband, she told us that this policy was on the back of the card which when I flipped it over and read it, it was definitely not. I certainly will never be back to that location, and will be making sure that everyone I talk to about it knows the kind of treatment you get if you just so happen to go in there with a gift card. I will also be informing the person who gifted me those cards that they are in fact not treated as cash when you go into the store, so she knows never to purchase them again.

Tried to combine two giftcards, they said no. Are you kidding me? You already have my money. Filing a complaint, won’t go again. You shouldn’t waste your time either.
