Hole in my dress pants after having them cleaned by Evergreen Dry Cleaners & Alterations | by C Bartlett on Nov 23, 2018
I am extremely dissatisfied and disheartened with my experience! I brought in a pair of dress pants to be dry cleaned, that I have only worn a few times. When I picked them up and tried them on at home, I discovered a hole in the front of the pants. This hole was not there when I tried them on before bringing them to Evergreen Dry Cleaners. While it is near the seam, it is an acute puncture of the fabric, unrelated to any stitching. Upon bringing them back in, within an hour of receiving the pants, I was advised, by the male proprietor, who stood smiling at me, that this kind of hole only comes from wear and has nothing to do with the machine. I inquired if nothing else in their store, which appears in disarray, could have created this puncture; it was again reiterated it is from prolonged wear and to come back tomorrow for his wife to explain further that it is wear. On their website it states Our Commitment: We value your confidence in us. I have no confidence at this point because I feel my concerns were not heard and I am now out a very expensive pair of dress pants two days before my Christmas Party. Because this is a private business I have nowhere higher to go to hold this company accountable. Additionally, I chose this company for their commitment to being environmentally friendly, and have many other clothes that require dry cleaning, but this experience means that I will not return. I will also make my experience known to my friends and family in the Fleetwood and surrounding communities, so they do not have the same negative experience.
