Very unhappy | by Les on Jan 25, 2021
My wife and I were in the Courtenay store to pick up some small items, & I was looking to upgrade our tv, my wife and I separated to our own things to consider purchasing. I happened to cough on my way to the tv department and begun to look at different models as our tv is about 8 years old. I was ready to purchase a new tv (up to $1000 limit) when I was approached by another person that was from a different department indicating that the face shield I was wearing was not acceptable and when I cough to cover my face . This is something I was familiar with as I’m aware of the COVID pandemic. I currently suffer with COPD, as well as CLL which is affecting my AFIB. I carry a letter from my doctor that I am exempt from wearing a face mask as it causes me to hyperventilate which seems to bring on notifications from my health app that I’m having another afib session. The experience soured my desire a tv from London Drugs and I left the store, and purchased a tv elsewhere. I will share my experiences (as there have been other experiences) with many others so they will be aware. As there were more staff members congregating than customers at that point of the day, I was very disappointed in the staff’s consideration for customers,,?
