Sports Closet is a family owned business and it truly shows in the extra time, care, and respect they show their customers. I will be shopping here FIRST from now on when I need gifts for the sports fans in my family! I was recently able to find a gift item there I could find nowhere else, but I was having trouble using my unusual rural address with their online ordering system. When I called the store directly, not only did the staff at Sports Closet take the time to work with me (live on the phone for a while, and then calling me back quickly after checking something out), they tried an order themselves while I listened in real time. Their system was working well – my weird address was just throwing it for a loop (this has happened on many websites I’ve ordered from). Instead of brushing me off with the now expected, “Sorry, can’t help you”, the staff at Sports Closet gave me a couple of options, including holding the item for me for a week until someone from my family could come into the city and complete the transaction. What really astonished me is that even though I wasn’t spending very much, they treated me with me as much kindness as if I was spending hundreds – as though I were a neighbour rather than a stranger.
