Please learn from my mistake. On October 13 I went to Crossiron Mills and bought a straightening hair brush from a booth in the mall. The company that makes the brush is Royale. Beth, the manager at the booth, sold me the brush. It cost $157 CAD. It works OK, but not nearly as good as the Simply Straight I bought for $80 a year ago – so I decided to return it yesterday (October 16th). What I didn’t know was that the receipt was stamped “no returns” (a bit late since I had already paid!). Never once during the sale did Beth tell me this. She slipped the receipt in the bag without mentioning it. I came to her with a very calm manner and tried to be reason with her. During our discussion she threatened to called Security three times. To make this short, BEFORE you buy things, ask for the return policy! It is the consumer’s responsibility to find out these things, not the retailer’s responsibility to inform - according to Alberta Consumer Complaints! Imagine if you bought insurance without being told that your pre-existing condition was not covered. And off you go on a vacation and have an attack due to your pre-existing condition and the insurance company refuses to pay ... if you had known would you still have gone?

I had a rediculous experience at this Kiosk store, the lady approached me to try there product. She was so nice, jolly and friendly... after doing the trial on my hair, I asked her how much? Then she whispered, and said... can you keep a secret? Then she said showed me the price on her laptop, she typed 499.00, but she said she will give a great discount.. it'll be 249.00, but I sad it's still too much... and I was trying to leave the store then she said 119.00... of course you'll be convinced from 499 to 119! Great deal! She was in a rush to give you the pin pad, and ask you to pay.... then I paid. While, walking at the mall I changed my mind then I came back after 15 minutes. I was talking to her nicely then she told me, I can't return it... it's a final sale! I was so surprised! She told me because she gave me a discount that's why I can't get the refund... but I told her she was the one who offered discount, I did not ask for it. And I also told her she should tell me before I pay that it's a final sale.... so I could think more instead. I am sharing my experienced, so everybody will be aware of the policy and you'll not feel like you had been fooled / tricked.. And even the lady did not even apologized for not telling me it's a final sale before I pay.. In the beginning they were so lovely, introducing their products. Even the manager/owner just told her staff to let me go, and let me complain to customer service.. I wasn't expecting this kind of service in Canada.. Treat your customer with respect
