Gap Factory Store - Rocky View, Alberta T4A 0G3 (Crossiron Mills)

I went to the Gap Factory to exchange some jeans on July 22, 2020 at around 12:15 and was 'greeted' by a rude, bossy associate standing at the entrance. Even though I was about to sanitize my hands with the hand sanitizer available before heading inside, as I was reaching for the bottle, she raised her voice in a bossy and know-it-all tone and told me to sanitize my hands. She continued to get mad at a women with a stroller leaving the store because she exited on the wrong side. I understand that you want customers to follow direction however there wasn't anyone waiting to enter or exit the store at the time and the associate was also standing in her way of the exit. The associate gave the poor women this mean look and proceeded to give her 'what for' until finally saying to just keep going. After I was helped by nicer employees inside, on my way out the same associate gave me the 'what for' for exiting the wrong side again. There was no one behind me and no one waiting in line. A mistake this small shouldn't have mattered this much to the employee but she because visibly mad. I work in retail as well and this associate ruined my day and if I didn't have to exchange my jeans, I would have turned around and left before coming in at all. As a greeter you should at least say hello to the customer and make them feel welcome in the store but this girl did no such thing. This 'know it all' made me and I'm sure other customers feel really bad about themselves and she should be the last person to greet people coming into the store. She was definitely not doing her job.
