My unfortunate experience with clerk/owner of cutom t's | by Janice on Aug 17, 2016
Today I went to Custom t's to see about finding a t-shirt with the Rio Olympic logos. I have a 36 year old downs son who is just loving to watch the Olympics especially the swimming. His birthday is on Monday and I wanted to get him something "Olympic". I asked the owner/clerk (writing this way owner/clerk because I find it hard that she would be the owner but she said she was) if she had any Rio Olympic logos - this was my first time at this store and the first time that I was going to buy a custom t-shirt. She started flipping through her computer and when I pointed at something she told me not to touch it - that was understandable - but she was flipping through so fast it was hard to make a choice. I am deaf in my right ear and was have trouble hearing her and understanding her. I thought I had made a decision as to what I wanted - then she kept questioning me on the logo and size of t-shirt. I was having trouble understanding and she was getting very impatient. She sensed my frustration and asked if I had a problem with her and I said yes - you are being very rude. She began to argue with me telling me that I was supposed to bring in my own design and that I was leaning on her printer (I did not know it was a printer there was stuff piled on it) I apologized for that then asked to talk to the manager - she said that she was the owner. She then threatened that all of our conversation would be on camera and she threatened to call security. I said that would be fine - she didn't I then asked her for her business card and she wouldn't give me one and told me to go away. She said she was wasting her time with me and had things to do. I have not encountered this type of customer - ever! I was very upset and had to leave the mall as I have medical conditions that worsen with stress. In these times of poor economy I am shocked that she would treat someone in this fashion. I will also write to the mall manager and put in a complaint against her store. I hope that she would not treat anybody like that again - I came in with good intentions and was treated horribly. I guess I will have to look for something online - seems the better way to go than to deal with this lady.
