I might have stopped in at the wrong time that day, but being in the retail environment for over a decade and a half now I didn't expect the store that day to be flipped around during store hours. I couldn't tell who the staff were and who the other customers such as myself were. Unless I saw people behind the counter, which I did. There were 4 people standing behind the counter not even looking up and just chatting and laughing. No one broke away from the group to walk up to customers and see if anyone needed help. I went in with the intention of possibly recruiting staff because I've heard good things, but that day completely turned me around. I came in twice that day and was ignored both times because they didn't acknowledge what was going on besides what they were doing, moving everything around. I found it extremely un-organized and unprofessional. I was in the store for about 20mins both times and not acknowledged once. It's unfortunate that stores that are run poorly don't see the importance of getting visual or flipping the store done before store hours or even after. Given it was a Friday, I found it a complete mess and I didn't even want to buy anything after being ignored the first time, I came in the second time a few hours later just to observe some more. It was incredible how I, walking in as a customer, was ignored twice. I also watched other customers who walked behind me get ignored, some where acknowledged but the lack in customer service was just a wow factor. From a customer and DM stance who has been in this industry for quite some time now, I will never shop there again, and I will make sure to let other retailers I know never to recruit or acknowledge going into such a mess of a store, and not just the store but the staff as well. If whoever runs that store gets the chance to read this comment about your Southgate store, take this as a constructive comment and make sure you plan ahead of time as opposed to what happened that Friday afternoon, and literally cutting your sales in half. If there was an option of not to click on any stars, that's what I would click. My experience there doesn't deserve even half a star. Very unfortunate Southgate Kixs has lost not just myself as a high spender type customer, but several more. Good luck in the future, and I hope this comment is taken constructive, not a reason to attack your staff.
