Westbrook Mall is a shopping centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located along 37 Street SW (at 1200 37 Street SW, Calgary, AB T3C 1S21), near Bow Trail SW. It was one of the first enclosed malls in Calgary and has over 64 stores and services. The mall has a mix of local and national retailers, as well as a dinner theatre and a fitness club. It is situated in the Rosscarrock neighbourhood of Calgary, which was established in 19542. The mall is easily accessible by car, bus, or CTrain. The mall has parking for over 1,800 cars. The mall opened in 1964 as Westbrook Shopping Centre with two anchor stores: Woodward’s and Safeway. It also featured a bowling alley, a cinema complex, and a food court. In 1971, the mall was expanded and enclosed to become Westbrook Mall. In 1986, Woodward’s closed due to bankruptcy and was replaced by Zellers in 1988. In 1990, the mall underwent a major renovation that added more retail space and a new facade. In 2012, Zellers closed due to liquidation and was replaced by Walmart in 2013. Westbrook Mall is owned and managed by Strathallen Capital Corp., a private real estate investment firm based in Toronto. The mall offers a variety of categories, such as fashion, beauty, home, electronics, books, health, fitness, and more. Some of the popular stores include Walmart, Safeway, Sport Chek, Mark’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pearle Vision, Dollarama, Bank of Montreal, Telus / Koodo, and Jubilations Dinner Theatre. The mall also has a wide range of dining options for different tastes and budgets. There are casual eateries like Boston Pizza, Subway, Edo Japan, Starbucks, Smitty’s, Silver Wok, and Morning Sun Health Foods. There are also more upscale restaurants like Aussie Rules. Westbrook Mall is open seven days a week for shoppers’ convenience, general hours are Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Sunday: 12:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The mall has a CTrain station that connects the mall to downtown Calgary and other parts of the city. The mall has a fitness club called HER GYMVMT that offers women-only workouts with personal trainers, group classes, cardio machines, strength equipment, and more. HER GYMVMT occupies a large space at the second floor of the mall near Walmart.
