I took my very first quilt class here & it was a great experience. From there I am always signing up for other classes, learning different ways from each instructor and then using what works for me. A wonderful shop filled with beautiful quilting fabrics, wool appliqué supplies, threads, kit and notions! I look forward to their Facebook lives to get all kinds of valuable information. Greatly appreciate the instructional videos on YouTube. I do take every opportunity to visit the shop because I enjoy the staff who are so helpful and pleasant.

My Sewing Room is one of my favourite fabric stores. I will drive over three hours to shop there as they have a great selection of fabrics and sewing machines. The staff are some of the friendliest and helpful people that I've had the pleasure to deal with. Their fabric selection is fantastic. Their machines are very well priced and their service is second to none. I don't know what's up with the previous commenter! Sounds like someone who tried to get something for nothing and didn't like the fact that business just doesn't work that way! 'A few hundred dollars' to a small business is a very big deal! Hopefully he/she will find someone else they can bully.

My Sewing Room is a vestige of another time. But not in a good way. My own experience with them has been difficult. There was a discrepancy over what was agreed as part of a bundle deal, and it ended with My Sewing Room standing their ground and telling me “You never wanted this item”, offering a 30% discount instead. Funny, because I was sure I did want this item! This total lack of integrity over a few hundred dollars is more telling than anything. It’s like pulling teeth getting through and speaking to someone about your issue. It’s incredible there are still individuals paying $23 for a 5000m of thread, when that is almost triple the market average price (for the same brand). Literally every sewing and embroidery material I use on a daily basis costs over double at My Sewing Room. There is no quality difference with any of these materials. Do yourself the favor and do the research.
